Default Pigment Dye ...

OK, so as those of you who know me know.... I generally never get involved in these "products I'd like" conversations. Maybe for that reason alone... my suggestion will be considered.

It seems that no POD companies offer Pigment Dye T-Shirts, at least none that I work with. These are the shirts that have a "washed out" look. The red looks like pinkish putty, the blue looks like clay, the orange looks rusty and washed out.

I think that these shirts could be printed in the same manner as the dark t-shirts, with a layer of white underneath, and that they could sell in a similar price range as the dark tees as well.

I think that this would truly make Printfection a cut above the others.

PIgment dye tees are generally considered the "upper echelon" of tees by consumers. I am wearing a yellow one right now from Bermuda (although I don't think that Yellow is necessarily a color that is crucial if we were to add some), I have several from other vacation spots, mostly in reds, greens, blues and grays. These are always the tees I gravitate to when buying shirts for myself. The colors are softer, and fit into the whole "aged" trend, making them more stylish and less "cheap" looking than an average tee comes across.

In Printfection's current lineup, my favorite color is the "prairie dust" because it most closely resembles a pigment dye shirt. My husband happens to own a Gildan Prairie Dust tee, not from Printfection, it's actually a free Budwiser shirt that we got at some point as a promotional item. But it is one of my husbands favorites because it is understated, tasteful, and matches a lot of pants and jeans. I just don't design much for it, because that particular color doesn't work well with most of my niches. But if we had a whole range of colors, which pigment dye would give us... it would be great for me, and I can see how tons of people could benefit from it.

Sometimes less is more. Less brightly colored tees, and nice subdued tones would be lovely.

Please consider. Thanks so much.

Stephanie
